My name is Jeannette, I am originally from the Caribbean, but I have been living on US soil for more than 20 years-during that time I’ve worked in Health Care and in movies and Television shows-but for the past 8 months I became the Puppy of the Internet- not as Guru but I’ m so excited about this new discovery that I set-up my profile anywhere I am allow to, and I’ve created a few websites in different niches. Some people think my brain cells are not fully connected for jumping from one subject to the next – but what they failed to understand I am passionate about every topic I choose to discuss, and if you read this page to it’s entirety you will realised that I am a natural born multi- tasker, and you will be kind enough to incite me to continue.
People Who Knew me from the Caribbean wouldn’t be surprise that I’ve created a beauty site- not only because I’ve attended Cosmetology classes, but I’ve always been fascinated with beautiful Flowers, and Perfumes I’ve worked in a High-End Store right after I graduated from High School. My Health Site wouldn’t come as a surprise either because my father was a Holistic Practitioner,and we leaned heavily toward Homemade Medicine. My parents adopted that alternative approach because that was the cheapest and fastest way to treat non-invasive ailments; there was only one public hospital that catered to the need of every patient in the entire City of Port-Au-Prince, and they could not afford private Doctors. Their practice worked because my siblings and I are still alive and well. When I first came to America the folks that I was living with were shocked to find out that I’d never had dental check-ups-when they took me to a Dentist I had not even one cavity… I was 29 years- old.
But a Dating Site is something that would not ring true because of our culture-they would’ve thought that I a promoting sex-which is not an activity for a person with high moral values. If my parents were still alive- the thought of creating a dating site would not have cross my mind- especially my mother- she was protective of her reputations and the reputations of my father who was a Pastor. And because I’ve sang in his Church Choir I’m expected to follow a straight line until I die-which caused me to smoke. (I’ve quit by the way) In the early 90′s I was a member of the audience on “The Sally Jessy Raphael Show”- I was spotted on Television- the news traveled to Haiti and spread like wildfire- according to their own logic only Prostitutes were seen on TV. My father had already died but my mother went completely berserk, and started praying for me.
Many People wouldn’t've expected me to be in Matchmaking niche-because is not my area of expertise. Well, I’m rekindling my hidden passion. I was 17 years-old when a boy came up to me and asked me to tell my next door neighbor that he loved her I innocently delivered the message but because I was the only girl who was allowed in her house I became a messenger for them. The platonic relationship became progressively intense-it has become too overwhelming for me- I needed to step aside so I incited them to speak to each other face-to face – her mother approved of him they fell madly in love, and got married. I’ve also been a mediator and messenger for a few of my friends I’ve always helped patch things up between them and their partners. So bringing people together is Not something new to me, and if my father was alive he would’ve been proud of me:)
The First few years I was exposed to the Internet the only things I did was sending /receiving emails and shopping- I was so ignorant and so busy working 12 hours 7 days a week I didn’t know there was a human being behind Google until this past June of 2011 when I ventured into the Internet world and after I created my first website-which was a total disaster, I didn’t know about SEO or keyword density (I’ m still in the learning curve) and I didn’t know having a website had anything to do with Google’s Rules and Regulations. I was so nervous and scared when I heard how mean it can be I started seeing the Capital “G’ in my dreams and I wanted to know why the Big G was tormenting me? I knew no one who could’ve put me in contact with him or her, and everyone on the Internet seemed to be very concerned. One day I gathered my thoughts I Googled Google’s team.
The name Matt Cutts came up – after reading his bio that’s when I realized there was indeed a human being behind Google, and I wanted to follow him from a distance -so I went to YouTube and type his name, a list of videos came up- I’d expected to watch an arrogant over the top and power tripping millionaire addressing the world in a demeaning manner (after all Google is the God of the search engines)- instead, I made a awesome discovery- Matt was wearing a regular T-Shirt and he was writing stuff on a board, in a gentle but firm voice he explained the Rules and Regulations. By watching a few of his video tutorials I understood why he has to take serious actions when the rules are not being followed. The World depends on Google for information, and hence it is his responsibility to make sure that it’s conveyed in a clear and orderly manner.
Matt stated that adding frequent unique content and optimization are Google’s primary requirements – I am not an SEO expert but I was adding frequent unique content. After watching the videos I decided to send him a message not expecting to get a reply. Shockingly, the next day Matt replied, and the big G disappeard from my dreams forever. I love Google and I respect his decisions- but I am still confused about Panda and Algorithm. I have no clue of what they are but I get to know with time because I want to be on song with G:):)
The idea of a dating website came to me in January 1st of 2012 after I went to a party on December 31 2011 where only singles were invited, and I’ve observed in amazement how people were desperately trying to hook-up with someone. Anyone before the stroke of midnight. I believe that everyone have a perfect match-but the World is so crowded their match got lost in it. As a productive member of society, a peacemaker and a former online dater I feel it is our responsibility as Citizen to help find those missing people and unite them with their match.
